March Hare Working Party

Falcon had a great turnout for the first March Hare Working Party last Saturday. The job was to check and clear the sections in Binghams Wood. This year there weren’t any big trees fallen across the tracks but there was a lot of cutting back to do and a fair number of fallen branches to be cleared. We also cleared some new routes on a couple of sections which will give options if the weather is wet. The plan this year is to visit Binghams twice and do two of the sections in the morning and two in the afternoon. This will free up some of the access tracks so they can be used as escape routes should anyone fail lower down. It will also take take the pressure off the marshals as there won’t be so many cars in the woods at any one time.
