Mark Fowler, who changed to a different ratio back axle after
Jim soon squezed past David for the lead and the two pulled steadily
away from Mark who spent the race a loneley third.
David spent the
rest of the race trying to squeeze past Jim, to no avail, until the
last lap when he pulled alongside on the exit from Clearways and just
got his nose ahead just before the line.
Brian Stevens was fourth after battles with Steve Cripps and Tim Scott
Andrews. Steve dropper back when his engine went off song and Tim spun
although he recovered to sixth, behind Roger Stanford who had a quiet
Neil finished in fourteeth place, keeping the 1300 Firsta in front of
a few more powerful cars.
